The objective of the project is to develop the four dimensions of the research and training network (RTN):

(i) incorporating regional and community priorities on, and needs for, ICT skill and business development into the core activities of the selected Institutes;

(ii) establishing partnerships, linkages, and interactions with the regional communities and businesses through the research and training network;

(iii) enhancing the subregional knowledge pool and resources for the capacity development of ICT professionals and entrepreneurs for long-term sustainable operation; and

(iv) promoting research and development on e-business, e-applications, and e-services to be delivered through the regional network and the village network, for the greater benefit of the community and business creation.
